It’s a show about showbiz, based on our zesty lives in the once-thriving Sydney Variety scene. A 70 minute show tailored for daytime subscription audiences around Australia.
We were lucky enough to learn our craft rubbing shoulders with showbiz luminaries like Don Lane, The Four Kinsmen, Ugly Dave Gray, Little Pattie, Jan Adele and Lucky Grills and we strive to nurture the tradition of good-old-fashioned entertainment.
This show features a vast array of popular music; from bluegrass to Bach, from Elvis to Elton, from Rossini to Rodgers & Hammerstein. And your audience will titter at tales of backstage banter, glitzy gossip and five-star foul ups.
String Fever’s World Cruise promo (4 minutes)
This video was compiled using footage from a show at Shedley Theatre Adelaide. The “World Cruise” show is based on music from around the world and stories from our two decades as cruise ship headline entertainers. We’ve performed for Morning Melody subscription audiences in theatres across Australia and can create joyful entertainment to suit your format. We can even transform your school gym, retirement village common area or church hall into a theatre for the day and bring the a morning, afternoon or evening of good old-fashioned entertainment to you! Elton by Brenton (3 mins)
Brenton has been impersonating Elton John since before he could speak. OK, that’s an exaggeration, but it has been .. to quote Sir Elton himself .. “a long, long time.” This video was recorded live at the Geelong RSL club with a wonderful backing band, although the show is also available as a solo or duo with Jacqui on backing vocals, cello, percussion and a squeeze of Kiki Dee.
